ABOUT THE PRODUCTION

Prêt-á-Poppy is a 10-minute senior Capstone project by Zoë Nelson at Marymount Manhattan College. Poppy is a greatly misunderstood fashion design student who is pushed to the limit by her professor and competitive classmates as she designs her ambitious fashion show costume.

PROJECT UPDATES

Prêt-á-Poppy was filmed over nine days at Marymount Manhattan College and the Lower East Side in the Spring of 2022 in New York City. 

The film had its debut at Marymount Manhattan College's 2022 Fifth Floor Film Festival where it earned two awards including Fan Favorite Best Cast Ensemble and Best Costume and Makeup.

Prêt-á-Poppy was a Judge's Select Short in the 2023 Toronto Lift-Off Film Festival and won an Audience Choice award. Watch the Audience Choice Filmmaker Roundtable here
